LAN Party

On November 22, a LAN Party was hosted by the Computing Science Club in OM3732. At the event, people get to connect with others through online games; they bring their own setups and play with club members. No matter if you want to play with or against your friends, play a completely new game with strangers, or simply want to chat with the others, you can have fun at the party and do so.

The event went from 12 pm to 12 am, giving people a large amount of free time to join or leave as they wish. With the event lasting for so long it would be strange if the event didn’t offer food, right? Well, free food and drinks were in fact provided to those who don’t want to leave the building or stop gaming.

Despite this year’s LAN Party could be seen as a bit less active compared to last year, it is no excuse to not join the event and make some friends. People could also participate in the tournaments that the event offers for you to prove your gaming skills to others and win mysterious rewards. So if you are too shy to communicate and make friend with others through words, you could try and make the others come to you by showing off your gaming skills.

Let’s take a look at the clubs.

Many of us already know clubs exist within TRU, but do you know what clubs are there in TRU and how easy or hard is it for the leader to manage the club?

Running a club in TRU could often be seen fun from the outside with many different events. But behind the scenes, it could be more complex than many imagine with the leaders of clubs mentioned during the interview, communication, expectation from the others, and even the limited budged given by TRU have to be considered before every move made from the club.
